Shard Place – Mace

RKI created the perfect partnership, with Mace on the joint Structured 

Cabling and Security packages at Shard Place. The building compromises 

176 apartments and communal areas including a cinema and gym over 27 floors and sits alongside The Shard and News Building of Shard Quarter London. 

 

A unique building that had multiple challenges to overcome. 

 

The full horizontal and backbone infrastructure system includes 2000+ Cat6 UTP Excel copper outlets along with a Hexatronic Blown Fibre Micro Duct solution throughout the building. The Blown Fibre distributes from the ODF’s located in the basement to various Landlord and Residential fibre enclosers over 27 floors. 

 

All horizontal copper Data Outlets serving CCTV, WIFI, Security, BMS access control and Door Lock systems are installed back to various SER patch cabinets and security Panels within the dedicated risers.
